Thats one of the main reason i recomend medeco.been a third generation lock smith so medeco is the way to go

Does this work on all Kwikset Smartkey lock sets? I heard that the ones they sell in stores now have gotten rid of the plastic parts that allow this tool to work.

I heard the same so I picked up a new Smart Key lock from the local Hardware store and defeated the lock with the “force tool” Note: no external signs of entry and the key still worked, however, the Smart Key function to rekey the lock was broken.

Also, I a new 20 Floor apartment building has Smart Key deadbolts and I have used the “force tool” to open 3 condos where the customer had lost the keys.

I will update if and when I find any changes.

Any insurance company should cover this car like any other car. I’ve seen the smart car in the US so I don’t know where you got that info from. I’ve also seen those cars in Germany, those suckers are fast. Probably would be a good one for first time driver, but they’re small, don’t plan on hauling alot of friends or anything else for that matter.

i go for “look insurance” or” LA insurance”they are funny names but Look is probably cheaper . they don’t go by points they just give u insurance that are just liable.
i highly recomend full coverage on cars except for trucks cause they have good metal bumper not fiber etc so they do goods and wont even get damage that much . but for others cars i would say get full coverage cause when u hit it on the curb u would at least need a radiator ball joints tie rod bumper and u name it plus maybe 2 front tires and rims .

Electric engines provide instantaneous torque , compared to IC engines which build up torque. It probably could out-run a ferrari from a standing start for a bit until the superior power of the Ferrari kicked in

Yeah but that isn’t “out running”. Yeah, it gets a quicker start but it doesn’t pull away at top speeds. Thats not out running a Ferrari. That car would probably lead for 5 seconds and then lose it’s lead. Again, I wouldn’t call that out running.

it is if your looking at it from the view of a standing start. if your looking at it from the viewpoint of top speed then no but it will sprint faster off the line than a ferrari. Its a subjective statement
